Inuksuk = Inukshuk

Beginning in 1973, the Inuksuk or Inukshuk newspaper was published by the village of Frobisher Bay in the Northwest Territories (now Iqaluit, Nunavut) for three years. It continues to this day as Nunatsiaq News.

This entry from An Annotated Bibliography of Canadian Inuit Literature references four poems written by Inuk, Jimmy Naumealik (Gedalof p.75).

In Histoire de La Littérature Inuite du Nunavik (Presses de L'Universite du Quebec, 2019), Nelly Duvicq describes the emerging cultural movement that created community newspapers such as Inuksuk and provides an analysis of Jimmy Naumealik's poetry (Chapter 2, pp. 27-64).
