Inuktitut = Inuttituut

This entry from An Annotated Bibliography of Canadian Inuit Literature is for a poem written by Markoosie. (Gedalof p.69). Markoosie's Harpoon of the Hunter (1970) is the first Inuit novel to be published in Canada.

The Inuktitut magazine is the longest continuously published Inuit magazine in Canada. Copies are mailed free of charge to 52 Inuit communities in Canada and the Inuit Tapiritt Kanatami has provided access to all published issues on their website.

Its Inuit name in the 1970s was Inuttituut and this can be seen on the title page from the Summer 1967 issue. The language of the text in this issue is Inuktitut syllabics.
