Title

Nipatur̂uq

Abstract

This magazine has youth editors and was made possible with funding from the Inuvialuit Living History Project. The editors chose the name Nipatur̂uq meaning "to have a loud voice," in Uummarmiutun, a dialect of Inuvialuktun spoken in Inuvik and Aklavik, Northwest Territories. Each issue has a distinctive title and a theme. Included are voices of young people and elders from across the Beaufort Delta. The first issues have focused on what being Inuvialuit means to youth, mental health issues and climate change.
