This newspaper was published as a community project. It contains many letters, stories of travel and people, songs and news in the community. Speech excerpts, council elections and voting procedures are also included. The newspaper's aim is to "allow expression of Eskimo viewpoints and encourage a knowledge of and pride in traditional Eskimo culture" (Letter, Keith Wilkinson, July 1967 issue).
