Abstract
Subtitled Serving the Inuit of Nunavik, Makivik Magazine was published by the Makivik Corporation, an Inuit organization mandated to represent and promote the interests of Nunavik Inuit. The magazine is produced by Makivik staff and includes contributions of text, photos, and other illustrations from the various Makivik subsidiary companies as well as from individuals and organizations associated with the Inuit in Nunavik—the beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement. The magazine has a regular feature column called 'Stories from the Past'. Makivik Magazine was distributed without charge to the Inuit of Nunavik.
