Abstract

In 1994, The Canadian federal government appointed a Nunavut Implementation Commission (NIC), to provide advice on the creation of Nunavut. This monthly newsletter outlined the work being done by the Office of the Interim Commissioner (OIC) to create the Nunavut government. The newsletter provides updates on the emerging departments of education, health and social services, justice and government housing and transportation. This newsletter was sent to 7,368 existing mailboxes in Nunavut in February 1999.
