Title

Pivut

Abstract

Pivut means "it's ours" in Inuktitut. This is a magazine for teenagers that aims to share and celebrate Inuit cultural knowledge. The first issue focuses on supernatural beings from elders' and hunters' traditional stories. There are five stories about giants and one is an original short story about a qallupilluk written by two Iqaluit writers. The single issue of the Pivut magazine was made available free of charge to schools throughout the Qikiqtani region of Nunavut.
