Abstract

The Labrador Heritage Society began the publication of Them Days in 1975 when members became concerned that the old ways were slipping away undocumented. This oral history magazine to publish stories that tell the history of Labrador and its people. The editor uses the Them Days Archives, a collection of diaries, letters, recordings, and photographs and actively seeks out new reminiscences for each volume. Them Days first operated under the Labrador Heritage Society until it was incorporated in 1980. Today, it is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors.
